The world media will take it upon themselves to broadcast his message.

And all this comes from the left-leaning Columbia president and administration.
This reaction is silly. The easiest way to get rid of a crackpot like our Iranian friend is to be nice to him. No need for denunciations, let him *hang* himself don't let him play the victim.

He's actually quite smart, he knew he would win either way. If columbia rejected him he could claim his own academic repression was justified to the rest of the Arab world(you think he cares about American opinion?). By calling him names he actually gets *stronger* because he can play the victim back in lebanon and gaza.

He's setting himself up as the post Saddam arab patriot heroically opposing the imperialist US. All these histrionics make his job easy. They give him credibility because it establishes him as a credible threat when the rest of the Arab world are either lapdogs(Egypt, Jordan, Saudi, Iraq) or pathetic(Syria, Lebanon).

Let's kiss him on both cheeks. That's the American way.

(Of course I meant on his face.)

The state owned media will support him regardless.

Was Pravda ever critical of the Soviets?
