Not being one of you other-peoples-suffering-is-noble types, this sounds to me like a pretty fair way to go.
A damn sight fairer than wasting away blind, incoherent, and hopefully too doped up to feel the pain in a hospital bed in a couple more weeks, which was the alternative.
The alternative was probably a hundred or more thousand dollars to keep her alive until her life support would have run out ( yes she would have ended up on life support not long from now) in a hospital with ZERO QUALITY OF LIFE..and her family members struggling on a daily basis for the next 6 months as she got sicker and sicker. I am no fan of euthanasia but this woman’s choice does not make me feel uncomfortable.
Only if one thinks that know better than God.
Good description.

Wait until the people who brought us asssited suicide are running the medical system. You ain't seen suffering yet.
she could have taken her oxycontin all at once and died quietly....why the party?...to make her seem noble?...for smoking all her life and continuing to smoke after her cancer and heart problems, she seemed like an idiot to me....
