Before your first post on this thread was made, the story had been verified by several Journalists and Bloggers and the original story even quoted a official statement by the Port of Oakland. Thanks for bringing that up. I love the Internet and other news sources.
Some get stuck here thinking this or that story is only reported here.
Thanks for the clarification for those that needed it.

In that I would agree in full. I was thinking more in line with the millions of solid patriotic Americans from this state that over the years have supported our country both in time of war and in peace.
Looks like in this case, there where some screw ups as how the chartered airlines and the Marine Corps. and in betweens performed their rules.
Sadly the families that waited and their Marines where the ones that suffered due to a lack of efficiency or otherwise.

You and I both know that’s right. But, both you and I know it only takes one idiot in charge to start a problem and grow it to a CF!
My son is still in country, waiting to go to a combined arms base and then head out. He was one of the last ones of the 1/3 to get in country, so he’ll be one of the last ones out.

Not sure what you mean by that. BTW, it would have sounded better if you had started it with, “Confucius says”

PS....Confucius had nothing to do with it. It’s a yankee thought from New England.

No wonder I didn’t get your point: I don’t speak yankee.
