MA of course has no death penalty. One effort to bring it back ended when it was shot down by the state legislature, after John Slattery of Peabody switched his vote. I believe Bob Curley supported the death penalty after his son's death but later changed his position on it.

These two guys (Jaynes and Siccari, IIRC) should be pushing up daisies and Jeff Curley should be a 20 year old in college, or the military, or holding a job somewhere, looking forward to a long and happy life.

The Curleys brought a suit against NAMBLA as one of the murderers had NAMBLA material at his house and had accessed their website, but thanks to the ACLU it was dismissed ("based on the specific legal issue that NAMBLA is organized as an association, not a corporation. The Curleys continued the suit as a wrongful death action against individual NAMBLA members and NAMBLA Steering Committee members.")

From Court TV. These two guys are rotting in jail but they should have faced the death penalty:

>>Sicari was contacted again by Cambridge police and continued to provide details. In his statement, Sicari described the killing. While he drove Jaynes’ Cadillac, he explained, the 250-pound Jaynes sat on Curley in the back seat. As Curley struggled, Jaynes allegedly told him, “Don’t fight it.” Jaynes then placed a gasoline soaked rag to the boy’s mouth and held it there, killing him, Sicari said.

>>After the killing, Sicari told police, he and Jaynes drove to numerous stores to buy the items necessary to dispose of Curley’s body. Video cameras in two of the stores captured the men at the checkout counter purchasing a Rubbermaid container, a bag of lime and a bag of concrete. The men then left Massachusetts and drove north to Jaynes’ apartment in Manchester, New Hampshire. There, according to Sicari, Jaynes took off Curley’s clothes and molested the boy’s dead body. The sight of this made him ill, said Sicari. When he ran to the bathroom, Jaynes told him, “Don’t be a baby. Come out here and help me — he’s starting to stiffen up.”

>>Sicari then admitted to helping Jaynes prepare the body. First they placed Curley’s body in the cement-filled Rubbermaid container, put lime on his face and in his mouth to speed decomposition, and sealed the container with duct tape. Then they drove to Maine, where they dumped the container into a river, Sicari said.

>>Prosecutors believed that Sicari and Jaynes lured Curley into Jaynes’ Cadillac with the promise of $50 and a bicycle. One or both of the men allegedly made sexual advances towards the boy, then suffocated him when he resisted.

It’s been 22 years since I lost my son and no, you never get over it. The last paragraph is correct, you learn to manage it, that’s all.

They hunted this kid. They stalked him, were nice to him, and I think they bought him a bicycle.

The rag they stuffed into his mouth was soaked in gasoline, they they duct taped. He was thrown in the river alive, after they ‘used’ him.

Now these guys are in a perve unit where they all swap stories, eat three starchies a day then do each other.

As more and more flee Massachusetts, Michigan, New York they will bring these people and their values to your Southern/Western state. They can not help it their brains have been burned, chiseled patterned into mindless reflex feeling based leftism.

The real story is horrible enough, but they didn’t thow him into the river alive. He was dead long before that.

I’m so sorry. I just said a prayer for you and Mr. Curly. God Bless.

>>I think they bought him a bicycle.

I think the story I’d heard was that they had STOLEN bicycle
and when they saw him they said, “come with us, we think
we can get a bike for you”.

>>Now these guys are in a perve unit where they all swap stories, eat three starchies a day then do each other.

Yeah but the libs will tell you about how inhumane
the death penalty is. (The DP actually passed a referendum in MA but legislature stopped it)

>>The debate reached a peak in 1997 after the killing of Jeffrey Curley, a 10-year-old Cambridge boy, but then the House rejected a bill reinstating the death penalty on a tie vote.

Because someone convinced John Slattery (SLATTERY
will get you NOWHERE) to switch his vote at last minute.

An unpleasant fact ignored by the anti-death penalty zealots: Prisoners masturbate and while doing so they fantasize. Try not to think about what these creeps imagine themselves doing.

from an NRO article by Deroy Murdock (Frisoli btw
ran unsuccessfully for MA Attorney General last year.
Defeated by Martha Coakley, the former Middlesex County
D.A. who was seen frequently on TV in high-profile
cases)

Deroy Murdock:

NAMBLA is “not just publishing material that says it’s OK to have sex with children and advocating changing the law,” says Larry Frisoli, a Cambridge attorney who is arguing the Curleys case in federal court. NAMBLA, he says, “is actively training their members how to rape children and get away with it. They distribute child pornography and trade live children among NAMBLA members with the purpose of having sex with them.”

Frisoli cites a NAMBLA publication he calls “The Rape and Escape Manual.” Its actual title is “The Survival Manual: The Man’s Guide to Staying Alive in Man-Boy Sexual Relationships.”

Jeffrey Curley, 10, was walking home from his grandmother’s house the day two homosexual lovers who were predatory pedophiles lured him into their car with the promise of $50 and a new bicycle.

They actually made the link between homo-perverts and pedophiles...............

Wow. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years. I remember this case getting worse and worse - from missing child, to finding the body, to all the details coming out, to bringing NAMBLA to the forefront. RIP Jeff.

This story infuriated me when I first learned about it, and NAMBLA (spit), a couple of years ago. I even had my post at the time pulled by a moderator because of my inappropriate incitement to violence towards the ACLU (spit).

What I said then still goes... double!

I know Slattery....

Misguided in his thinking in why he decided he couldn’t vote the dealt penalty. These two don’t deserve to live but if they rot in jail in an ugly fashion I can live with that.

may have been persuaded by the House Spkr at the time to
switch his vote. Maybe a promise of a plum job or
some other perk?
How about Cheryl Jacques “rhymes with fakes”, who
had pledged to fight back against the likes of
Billy Bulger but lated became a Bulger bumkisser?
It can happen.

Actually, Slattery took a lot of heat for flipping at the last moment and I think that grief was from the Speaker at the time.
