I found the same to be true. Most Africans I’ve met were model immigrants; honest, hardworking, family oriented, and always advancing towards a new goal. Anyone who has ever been to college would have to agree that Africans are very serious students for the most part. I work with a few Nigerians and Ethiopians and they make me feel like a slacker. While I just have one job, most of them work at least two jobs and most are also working on post graduate degrees. I also find them to be generally more positive and upbeat than a lot of my American born coworkers.
The African immigrants I’ve encountered are intensely hardworking folks. This is true for the guys selling stuff on the street as it is for the professional class.
Same here, I think the US can use some more West African immigrants. I know a few bad apples but youll get that with any group. Even the Muslims tend not to be anywhere near as radicalized as their Arab counterparts.
