maybe because troopers allegedly told similar stories of ‘escorting’ her to meet with Vince -

rats stick together...and since this seems to be a marriage of convenience - for power and money = they probably could care less what one does with others until it becomes public

I suspect that a lot of people who have never listened to Limbaugh tuned in the past couple days to hear what this was all about with their own ears.

And what did they get? Example after example after example about the deceit and lies of democrats and people were exposed to the truth for the first time.

The Rats will not be happy with the result of their doomed to failure smear campaign.

On Tuesday, Hoyer tried to draw comparisons between the Limbaugh attack and GOP efforts last week to condemn ads by MoveOn.org that suggested Gen. David Petraeus, head of Multinational Forces in Iraq, had betrayed the United States by giving Congress a semi-positive report on the result of the troop surge there.

"What's good for the goose is good for the gander," Hoyer said, adding that everyone should try to show "restraint from condemning all that we disagree with."

If someone is spreading outright lies about what you said, that's not "disagreement", it's slander. Rush doesn't suffer fools lightly and is not going to show restraint when he is being slandered. Same goes for what they were trying to do to Petraeus.

America’s Anchorman Swings Back!! Of course HilaryCare is going to sign this since she owns Media Matters and this comes from her War Room. This proves what a Stalinist she truly is.

Even when the lie is exposed as such, Democrats forge ahead, telling and retelling the lie.

I wonder what else Democrats will lie about?

Brock is a mercenary hack. He found out that being a conservative didn’t pay...enough.. so he went to the other side.

Bad move for them.

Not necessarily.

The overall goal is to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine, shut down the right wing noise machine and force reliance on the Old Media for the final word. Take this in the same context as the attack by the San Francisco city government on Michael Savage. This is part of a full court press to discredit conservative voices on the radio.

The attack on Limbaugh now seems to be falling into the pattern of the Big Lie -- if you say something over and over again and often enough, it becomes fact. They have successfully put Limbaugh on the defensive.

He is countering quite well by going on the offensive and nailing the Democrats on their hypocrisy, but he is only one voice. The Democratic offensive will increase in intensity with the intent of shouting him down. (Think of the attack on Bush on the Texas National guard issue, but without Buckhead to demolish it.)

The Democrats could in fact overplay their hand, but as of right now, they're pushing all the right buttons.

Being a public figure, Limbaugh (and all public figures) have a very high hurdle to clear to even begin the process of a slander of libel suit. And the hurdle to win is exceedingly high. Thats why it is rare that such cases are brought and even rarer they make it to trial, and rarer yet that the person wins.

Thats why a lot of such suits are brought in England when one of their tabloids carry the story. The bar there is very low.

My favorite part of Rush's show today (the gloves are off):

Rush: Folks, I am more energized and focused on the task of advancing liberty and victory than ever before. I am more energized and focused on the task of defeating Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Hillary Clinton than ever before. I will not rest. I'm not going to stop until they are exposed, until they are pushed back and defeated. They must not control our government; they must not be put in charge of our military; they must not gain the power they crave to shut down talk radio and free speech wherever they don't like it. They must not control anything in which our future is at stake. Let me add another point about all this. It has not gone unnoticed here that only a handful of Republicans and conservatives have dared to speak up about what has been taking place here. I see it. Most of them think I can handle these things on my own and so forth, but there's a fear out there. The fear and the weakness that permeates the Republican Party, and even parts of the conservative movement is also on display now, as it has been for too long.

Why Conservatives Are Fed Up

Don’t look for more than a few Republicans suddenly displaying a spine and joining Rush. This could be huge for the R’s if the’re smart.

I agree. So far the Stalinists are winning this one because most people don’t understand or are too lazy to find out the context of what’s going on. So the sound bites they hear make Rush (and conservatives, by extension) sound bad. Rush needs to get out of defensive mode and counterattack.

The Conservatives are the Road Runner the Libs are Wile E Coyote, and they keep scanning the ACME catalog for “new sneaky tricks” with the usual results.
