Hmmmmmmmmm. When was the last time that Israel employed a car bomb?
Hell, when was the first time Israel employed a car bomb?
I believe it was back in the 80’s in Lebanon when they tried to get a major terrorist. My recollection is they missed him.
Kinda like their cellphone bombs myself...
It predates the State of Israel, but happened on January 12, 1947, when Zionists of the Lehi under Avraham Stern drove a truckload of explosives into a British police station in Haifa, Palestine, killing four and injuring 140. Lehi truck and car bombs were used both for assassination of individual targets and to kill and terrorize occupants of British Palestine as well.
See Mike Davis's Buda's Wagon: A Brief History of the Car Bomb for additional details and instances since.
The classic and best-documented example would have been following the Munich Olympic Massacre in 1972, during the Israeli retaliatory killings/assassinations variously referred to as The Wrath of God or the Caesarea Operations, in one of which Mohammad Boudia, the Algerian-born director of operations for Black September in France known for disguises and womanizing met his end. On June 28, 1973, Boudia was assassinated in Paris by a pressure activated car bomb packed with heavy nuts and bolts placed under his car seat by Israeli agents.
