I grew up with German Shepherds (Schutzund) and all that. We had a Maine Coone.

I took my Turkish-Van (which are extremely cool cats if you can tolerate cat hair BTW) to the beer store (and to the FastFoodWindow (imagine what the cat's perspective was).

I'll tell you this (with certainty): you'd better be on a 1:1:1:1 relationship with your animal (and even then: cat's are unpredictable).

Don't even think about doing that with an "old" cat. You start doing that with no older than a 5 yr old feline (and if that's your intentions should be implemented no later than 3 yoa).

One can train a dog to do anything, but to have a buddy like that in feline form (you have to know your animal). What do you think Schutzhund's all about?

I'll tell you this: most felines will try to hide themselves beneath the brake-pedal.
