I've never seen the people shortage this bad before." Dear "Captains of Industry"
Pay more.
To: central_va
Rates are climbing very fast.
But paying more doesn’t create knowledge and experience needed in people new to the industry overnight.

Ha Ha, thought you could undercut the engineering profession with "Cheap labor". O well, i guess the "Captains of Industry" messed up.

Badger Fuel, which makes oil deliveries all over the Boro, is going out of business. They claim the high price of fuel oil is to blame. They are not bankrupt, just shutting down. 12 employees.

They claim the high price of fuel oil is to blame. Are people with fuel oil heating switching to other sources?
If not, it is pretty tough in the North Star Borough (Fairbanks to everyone else) to tough it out and leave the heat off for winter.

Coal is no longer delivered. You can drive to Healy to get your own. Wood is possible but not for the modern frontiersman with his 4000 sq ft palace. Electric heat is the only serious alternative.

"There are a lot of refinery expansions happening now," says Steven Toups, vice president of business development at Baton Rouge-based Turner Industries Group Inc. "From 2002 to 2005 there was about $30 billion spent nationally on refinery expansions," says Toups. "But that will double to $60 billion in the next five years."Hay Schwartzenutburger! Say good-bye to your stupid "Hydrogen Highway" idea, fool!!!
With all this refiniery capacity coming on line in the next five years you better git those new freeways started with the dollar a gallon gasoline that's comin back!!!

Yeah baby....the checks just keep on rollin' in. The job market is as described, hot as hell. Course my kinda work is done independently, ya know, craftin' deals to rape the land, extract those toxic hydrocarbons, sell 'em to idiots that later resell 'em to endusers who hafta do such horrible things like heat they houses, drive they cars, fly de planes, boss, the planes, and, last but not least, stoke the power plants so Hollyweird, leftist rocky rollers and such like have enough electrical power to bitch about having electrical power.
It's a wicked wicked business I'm in, but I love it. Even when I get screamed at by Al Goron's greenies who are busy:
"coking is widely accepted and has really caught on in the last two years,"
