Actually I think he is potentially more in the class of Tesla...

I briefly considered Tesla, but I consider Tesla a true scientist expanding the boundaries of science. Tesla made actual scientific discoveries. Edison (to my knowledge) did not.

This guy is more of a gifted tinkerer as was Edison. Edison took what was known and fiddled with it to make something.

I think this guy may have the potential to be an Edison but unfortunately he has chosen an area of pursuit that is legally off limits outside of universities and government labs.

Private experimentation is strictly verboten.

You know it is hard to say.. I agree this guy has never been provided a place to stand. He first got into trouble as a kid. Wasn’t it the Navy to it’s credit who got him work in the Navy’s nuke program as a Sailor?. That would have been something like Walt Disney in the Marines (yes he was briefly lol) The shoe was a poor fit I suspect.

I hope that Judge has half a brain and finds a decent math or science professor (With the exception of the “Earth Sciences” Hard science and Engineering still have a great many decent professors. (although there is a Math Genius serving life in Prison for killing a three Professor Board who were being A$$Hat elitists IMO. (His response to the life sentence “good I will have more time for Math”.

Sentence him to work as an assistant to a older Science Prof.

Maybe he will not wind up serving life in prison, working for AQ or dead in the gutter as an alcoholic.

Let us hope

W

I doubt that would work out.

Make sure your read the article linked in Post # 3.

The guy was a poor student. Got poor scores in math.

I don't think he can work in a structured environment.

What a waste!
