Designer Anand Jon faces new rape charges LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - California officials unsealed new rape charges against celebrity fashion designer Anand Jon on Thursday, bringing the number of women he is accused of raping or sexually assaulting to 20.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - California officials unsealed new rape charges against celebrity fashion designer Anand Jon on Thursday, bringing the number of women he is accused of raping or sexually assaulting to 20.

Jon, 33, who once appeared on television show "America's Next Top Model," is accused of luring women back to Los Angeles to work as models and then attacking them. He has been charged with 59 counts of raping or sexually assaulting women between the ages of 14 and 27.

In June, the celebrity designer faced 46 counts involving 18 women. The new charges came after a September grand jury hearing that involved 23 witnesses, the Los Angeles County District Attorney said in a statement.

Jon is being held in a Los Angeles jail, and the District Attorney's office said it will ask for a bail amount of $5.1 million at an arraignment scheduled for October 25.

Defense attorney Anthony Brooklier said he believed the alleged victims had collaborated against Jon.

"We think that there was collusion," Brooklier said. "We think this is made up whole-cloth, the entire case."

Jon also is under investigation in Dallas and Houston, Texas, as well as New York and Massachusetts.

California prosecutors claim the Indian-born designer is a serial rapist, and charges against him include forcible rape, sexual battery, sexual penetration by a foreign object and sodomy by use of force, among numerous others. (snip)

...bringing the number of women he is accused of raping or sexually assaulting to 20.

Wow! he's 4-times more accomplished than impeached former president clinton.

and finally another that is a barf alert to be honest, but kind of shows where the misguided are headed with this fight. The angle will be, he’s just a poor nice brown person and they are trying to make it look like he raped these nice white girls. When the shoe fits, wear it! It’s the opposite of the duke case in a way, this guy’s guilty, but there’s gonna be an attempt to portray these girls as liars. just wait and see how this circus unfolds. My quesrion is, who’s gonna ask Hillary why her campaign manager was here??????

I understand it’s hard to resist, but you really aren’t supposed to change the headline name....

heh heh, right. He’s actuallu putting Bill to shame I would think. Perhaps Terry McAuliffe was there to pick up a few pointers for old Bill? Some old dogs can learn new tricks I suspect.

Is that right? I posted earlier and it was pulled, perhaps thats why. I may have missed that rule. Seems I remember posting like that in the past with no trouble. we shall see. If it gets pulled, we’ll know how.

He’s actually putting Bill to shame

Nope. Bill is actively running for First Lady, so he's off the table.

Things could have been worse, imagine if Anand Jon had opened a home for third-world orphans instead...

The reason is, then people looking to see if it was posted can’t find it, and you get double posts.

But what folks do is put their own title in parenthesis next to it, if there is room.

Never heard of the guy, but a search engine kicked up an interview of him. He doesn’t use fur, but he is OK with leather (as the whole animal is consumed).

Looks like he regards and treats animals better than humans, or more specifically, the human female. Yeah, it’s a frameup just like his lawyer claims, and he is presumed innocent. But I don’t have to suspend belief and reason, I am not on the jury.

"he believed the alleged victims had collaborated against Jon"

Trying to get 20 women to agree and 'collaborate' on anything would be a nothing short of a miracle....especially models trying to claw their way to the top! LOL! :o)

Seriously though, people in the Biz have known about this perv for awhile. I am glad he is getting his just reward.

One down and about 100 more to go.....

The real news here is that there’s a fashion designer who has sex (if forcible) with women! Who’da thunk it?

When I read the headline my immediate thought was homosexual rape. I was also shocked to find out the victims were women.

Why not? They support another rapist—former president, Bill Clinton. Talk about phonies—Democrats are total phonies.

The most astonishing thing to me is that he actually had to force anyone. In Hollywood, I thought all a man had to do was cut a few lines of coke on the mirror and aspiring actresses and models would be on their knees.

I read the article. The event was not to support this alleged rapist. Don’t get me wrong, I detest McAuliffe, but misstating facts is not the FReeper way.

Leave those tactics to the Democrat party hacks. Guilt by association is their speciality.

Wrong. His innocence was a MJOW factor in this event. In a National Newspaper called India Abroad, the headline is, “Glitterati turn out in style to support Anand Jon.”

The first paragraph starts, “Models wearing signs saying We support Anand Jon participated in a fashion show at the Beverly Hilton” later in the piece says Sanjana Jon organized the event and there was a 10 minute video presentation about her brother portraying him as a great guy. This is not some sideshow. It is the theme of the event, now it could be they did not know the event was going to be about a man charged with rape, but once the show started, they had no concern what-so-ever that they are there showing solidarity with this guy?

You can turn a blind ear, but this is damning, as it should be. John and Ken in LA mentioned they have pics with Anand Jon, Hillary and Tony Villar as well as Terry McAuliffe with kids wearing t-shirts that say, We Support Anand Jon. C’mon, are you kidding me?
