As a Colorado State Senator, Doug Lamborn was a solid conservative. As a 5th District House member, Lamborn has proven he’s still a solid conservative on both the fiscal and social issues. Even more conservative than my friend Joel Hefley was. Crank, Rayburn, Bremer, whoever choices to run against Lamborn will find him to be a stronger candidate the second time around, then he was in his first run for office. Lamborn will improve on the 59% he got in 2006 and continue doing a fine job for his constituents.

The problem is Lamborn seems to be a class A jerk, and was ineffective in Washington in protecting the interests of Fort Carson, very important to his district.

That said, I think this candidacy is silly. Let Crank have another go at Lamborn and if he loses again, well it's Lamborn's seat.
