Let me get this straight:

HPV is a sexually transmitted disease.

If a young lady abstains from sex until marraige there is very little chance of contracting this disease.

Making this HPV vaccine mandatory makes the assumption that all the little girls are sexually active.

Next the pill will be mandatory !

You left out the other side of the equation: the man.
In this day and age, it is extremely unlikely (5% or less) that a male is a virgin when he marries. If your daughter’s husband has just had one prior girlfriend, she could get it.
She could also be raped.

As a libertarian and a microbiology grad student, I’m very conflicted on mandatory vaccines. It pains me that people think this vaccine is for sluts when HPV is practically normal flora and the death penalty is not a suitable punishment for sex.

I feel the same way but another Freeper had pointed out that even though the young lady has abstained she may have a husband who did not and this will protect her.

I will not get this shot for my 12 year old.
