I goofed when I read it - it said CE’s, not ME’s. I dunno, maybe target-builders are cheaper than weapon-builders.

LOL! I guess they are talking about folks who work as cogs in big corporate wheels. The CE probably isn't a PE. Nontheless I would think a CE would move up to a managerial position after 10 or so years and be making more like 70-80K. I have a cousin and an uncle who are architects and they make a LOT more money than the number they show, but they both have their own practices.
