Paul is still more conservative than most on the list and in terms of largess of the gov’t is bar none the best. We could do a LOT worse than put Paul in there (Rudy, Mitt, & McCain & Bush come to mind) despite his extreme isolationist stance. I will tell you what, I’ve NEVER seen the mainstream Republican party so afraid of someone like Paul getting popular. I really think he’d make a lot of the economic Republicans leave for good. I’m about 1 presidential election cycle away from it.
If the GOP nominates L.Ron Paul (stop laughing!), that is the end of the GOP. Ninety-plus percent of the party would move across the street and start a brand new party and the howling moonbat would be on his own.
Well, I can’t speak for Republicans..but I don’t fear Fred anymore then I fear any anti-war conspiracy theorist on the Left. We’ve been fighting them for years, what’s one more?
The problem for Paul is that most of the GOP base doesn’t agree with him. Thank God. Of course if he were a Dem, he wouldn’t be a novelty. He’d be lost in the crowd. So he’s kind of stuck, isn’t he? He’d get no traction on the left, and most of the right wouldn’t dream of electing him. if he’s lucky he might manage to rally Ralph Nader and Buchanon’s crowd. All 5% of the national electorate.
ROTFLMAO! He's so far right- he's left! That's why all the left wing-nuts, wacky quaker groups, are supporting him. And no, we can't do much worse. May as well vote for that Corvair builder.
