The last time I took my kid for a sports physical - the paperwork asked a series of questions similar to what was in the article. It is frightening. As a parent, never allow a child a be interrogated by a physican. It really is none of their business and it is still legal to tell the doctor just that.

“Denver school-based “health” clinics created with Robert Wood Johnson Foundation money already track a student’s sexual habits, whether his family owns a gun, whether his parents get along, and whether his friends obey the law”

The RWJ Foundation basically funded the first Clinton presidential campaign in return for authoring major portions of Mrs. Bill Clinton’s Health Care plan.

My daughter’s pediatrician waited until I was out of ear shot and whispered to my daughter that when the time comes and she wanted birth control pills that she’d write a prescription for it.
My daughter told me about this 3 hours later because she knew I would probably probably make a u-turn and go back and assault the physician. Of course I filed a complaint and we never went back to her.
The previous pediatrician told my daughter (who had asthma) that cigarettes were bad for her asthma but marijuana probably wasn’t bad for it.
The solution: LEAVE MASSACHUSETTS

The paranoia over parents is so strong that the AAP encourages doctors to ignore legal barriers and deference to parental involvement and shake the children down for all the inside information they can get. Ignore legal barriers? Is that, well . . . legal?
With all the worries that physicians have about lawsuits, it would seem unwise for them to "ignore legal barriers."
(That said, I can imagine a state granting immunity to doctors who ask such intrusive questions while penalizing those who do not. It is time to put a stop to this.)

Last year, my 7-year-old was asked about my guns during his physical examination. He promptly announced to the doctor that his father is the proud owner of a laser sighted plasma rifle perfect for destroying Throggs. . . . At least as of this writing, no police report has been filed. His 7-year-old provided a great answer. That gives me an idea . . . .

This isn’t just for pediatrics.
Many doctor’s questionnaires I had to take recently, and one health survey for work, ask if you own a firearm and how many.
I usually say “Not applicable”, but had one doctor really push it.

Nanny-Staters are a bigger threat to liberty than even the most overt socialists in congress. What kills me is that, unlike socialism, which is much more rampant on the left, the nanny-state mentality seems to have infected nearly as many 'Pubbies as Democrats.

Debbie is a mom from Uxbridge who was in the examination room when the pediatrician asked her 5-year-old, Does Daddy own a gun? When the little girl said yes, the doctor began grilling her and her mom about the number and type of guns, how they are stored, etc. If the incident had ended there, it would have merely been annoying. But when a friend in law enforcement let Debbie know that her doctor had filed a report with the police about her familys (entirely legal) gun ownership, she got mad.Welcome to the USSA.

I get sort of the same thing at docs here in Missouri. On the form, they ask is we use seat belts. I put down that this has nothing to do with what I am here to see the doctor about.

And it's not just kids they're grilling to satisfy Big Brother's insatiable need for personal information about his subjects. It's adults, too.
Here in California if you have sleep apnea, say, and tell your doctor that you've been nodding off during the day, off goes a physician's report to the DMV. After all, you might fall asleep behind the wheel. The doc is required by law to file such reports. And it could cost you your license.
Faint recently? Off goes a report. Have a change in your eyesight? Off goes a report. I suppose the list is endless.

This is typical. Child Protective Services also believe that all parents that discipline their children are abusers, and any kid who won’t bad mouth their parents is either brainwashed, intimidated or a liar.
