Alan Greenspan in his new book, The Age of Turbulence, is highly critical of President George Bush for his failure to control the budget deficit...Ailes replies,"You can't sell a book in America if you don't dump on Bush. That's the cheapest shot in the world. You cannot get an advance, and you can't sell a book because the publishers are all people who hate Bush and hate Republicans...

It's amazing how full of focused and specific advice and analysis Greenspan is now that he's no longer Fed Chairman.

Greenspan is being quoted now more than when he was heading the Fed. And a lot of it is Clinton-like, in that someone needs to tell him he isn’t in charge anymore. Maybe that’s why the two like each other

Roger Ailes is correct. I frequent several popular writing and author websites, and the moonbats are everywhere, authors, editors, and publishers.

Then why is the deficit shrinking? At least is is shrinking according to real figures in spite of what the DBM says.

in all fairness, the deficit shrinking in year 7 of bush’s term after the huge increases over most of it misses the point.

The deficit exploded under bush, and spending did as well.
