Seems to me more likely that a Clinton victory would mean the end of the GOP coalition that has kept people like him, people like James Dobson (and me), and people like Rudy Giuliani in the same political boat. That might ultimately be a good thing for America.
Therefore, I'll support the Republican candidate. It might not preserve every one of my conservative ideals, but it will save lives of those more important than I.
Please shock it back before it comes to something terrible like that!!
Shoot..a Clinton victory would ensure no other political competition whatsoever....any potential “leader” will be subsumed....
Reads like a nutjob to me. Doesn’t sound too smart in a time of war.

I don’t see how the end of the coalition could possibly be a good thing for America, given the alternative.
Also, the author is quite incorrect about the social conservatives bolting. Gary Bauer was on Michael Medved’s prgram yesterday saying that the third party idea is terrible and would cost SCOTUS for a generation. He wants to keep the coalition together and negotiate the best deal possible.
Hopefully the imminent threat of Hillary as we get closer to '08 will shock it back to its senses.
Anyone that looks to Ron Paul for political salvation is a fool.
He’s a real goof and stupid to boot.
There is something to be said about the 2 party system being one of swings. It seems it never fails (since FDR anyway) that as soon as one party gets close to “putting the other out of business” suddenly it swings back.
It was only 3 years ago (or so) that articles were printed talking about the Democrats being a permanent minority. That is a sign that the end is near for the run...a lot like the stock market.
True, but the analogy still fails.
The Republican Party doesn't have "cancer", it has Herpes - the inevitable result of getting into bed with Democrats and their very unsavory ideas. Hillary Clinton is more akin to a bad dose of the Clap.
Agreed. The Hillary victory that will bring Republicans back, is her inevitable victory in the democrat primary.
Now there’s a mental image I didn’t need. ;-)
However, this philosophy is perverse. Hitlery would get people killed...aborted babies, soldiers in battle, very likely an increase in terror attacks.
This is ugly thinking. I hope the millions whom Dobson influences don't listen to him on this.
I'm in the same boat with you. I don't care who the Republican nominee is at this point, but he's got my vote in the general election.
I think a lot of Republicans don't realize that the chances of Mrs. Bill Clinton becoming the next president are about 99.9999999999996%. We may squabble during the primary season, but whoever ultimately emerges as the nominee must get all the support we can give. We've already seen the dreadful things that have come out of the ultra-liberal Congress. We certainly don't need that and Mrs. Bill Clinton running things again.
Sorry.
Of course, where the wheels fall off of this broken-down cart of a philosophy is that when you let someone like Hillary! win, you very well may not have a country left within which you can achieve your comeback after losing. What good is it to throw away your chance at winning the pending election for a chance to win the one after that if you aren't around to fight the next battle?
At this point it might just be a matter of if it dies a slow death by RINOism or a quick one by outright Marxism. Either way, if we're still alive to look them in the eye, we will have to answer to our children and grandchildren as to why, when we had a chance to save the country we let it go down the tubes.
This brought to you by a man named “Greenhut.” That seems strangely appropriate...
And excuse me while I recall a day when the 2006 elections were going to teach us a lesson and unite us around a cause...
