was found, and fired, by a child.

According to Deputy Police Chief Carson Mansfield,

At nine his daddy needs to be smacked for not showing him how to handle a gun safely. By nine all my kids were able to field strip and clean most of my firearms.

A bullet discharged, hitting a fence.

Was he aiming at the fence?

I know a guy that could reassemble the bolt on his dad's hunting rifle in the time it took his dad to get out of the car and into the house. "It was that or get my ass beat for taking it apart." was his explanation.

Sounds like this pistol needs trigger work, if it takes two kids to pull it.

no it really did discharge.. those darn semi full auto 40mm pocket pistol assault revolvers are known to fire themselves.
they usually also act in concert with foul globull warming contributing smog belching gas guzzling carbon emmissions non-compliant SUVs. where’s the SUV here? was it stalking the kid, forcing him to trespass?

Apparently the Gun didn’t discharge, the bullet did. Maybe it had a cold.

Ah ha! Finally! I've heard so much about all these guns we have "on the streets", but I've never actually seen a gun on the street. I guess Foxboro Drive must be the street they were talkin' about...

"Stop! Don't touch it! Leave the area and tell an adult."

IIRC, a central Florida school ran the Eddie Eagle program and soon thereafter, an off-duty cop attending his child's performance unknowingly dropped his carry piece in the auditorium. Several students remembered Eddie Eagle's simple advice and followed it to the letter when the found the handgun. Tragedy averted, thanks to this wonderful program from the , gasp, NRA.

I always hear about cops misplacing their sidearms in a bad location, but never about civilians.

Dear children in the United States of America,
All guns are loaded. Period. If you touch the trigger, it WILL go off.
Thank you,
BtBD

Dear parents in the United States of America,
Please teach your children safe handling practices for both handguns and longarms. If you dont want to do that, then please teach them that all guns are loaded and they WILL fire when the trigger is touched.
Regards,
BtBD
