I agree, tearing down legitimate conservative candidates will get us nowhere (Rooty Toot is a different story); it’s time to promote candidates based on who they are, rather than on who they are not.
In a perfect world, Duncan Hunter would be the GOP nominee. However, in the REAL world, his campaign is going nowhere in a hurry. Fred Thompson will be the nominee, he will need a good running mate and hopefully it will be Hunter or Huckabee.

“Do you want the Court to continue being dominated by Leftist for the next 70 years or do you want Conservatives to hold the balance on the Court for the 1st time in 70 years?”
The argument we should be having is What document gave the supreme court authority over states rights? The supreme court has no authority except for what is in the constitution.
We are playing into the leftests hands again on this one. They own the courts. We shouldnt be debating our policies based on who is on the supreme court but what is explicitly written in the constitution.
The only way we are going to get out of this cycle of voting for the lesser of two evils is defend the law of the land - the constitution. Instead of electing a president who will appoint conservative judges we should elect someone who will enforce the constitution - We have become an oligarchy.

I have no beef with Dr. Dobson, but why is he doing this now? It seems he is stirring the pot every couple of days Actually, I made up my mind a long time ago that I could not vote for Rudy under any circumstances. I did not need any encouragement or assistance. It's called examining ones conscience. Surprise! Quite a few of us can make up our minds without instructions. We still know how to think a thing through.

You can stop pretending. Pretty obvious you are a Moveon.org stoodge who is only hanging out here to pull the old “I’m a betrayed Conservative” fraud.

I am glad that I am not the only one preaching the truth of how black our future will be, if we remain so divided. We do NOT have to back a liberal gun-grabbing baby killer... or any other liberal to defeat hildebeast. dobson is not wrong about the issue, but he wrong about the best path and he should be helping us to push the Republican Party in the right direction... not looking over at those of us pushing the POS jalopy that is the Republican Party... in the right direction. He threatens those of us doing the hard work of salvaging the Party that believes that UNBORN Americans have the Right to LIFE, LIBERTY and the PURSUIT of HAPPINESS. He has become part of the dark and evil forces destroying America today. He is a willing tool.

Not quite accurate. The legacy is the disintegration of the Republican Party - a real self immolation caused by turning its back on the most basic of our rights - the right to life.

Thats been my life. Thats been my belief, along with marriage and the family and the other things. I cant now abandon that because weve got two bad choices here.
On the Hannity radio show Dobson said something to the effect of I wouldnt know who I am anymore meaning that a vote for Giuliani would cause him somehow to lose his sense of identity. This tells me hes acting on pride.
Dobson is making this about himself, thus abandoning the Christian principles he has fought so hard for.
To control his own vote is exactly what he should do. But Dobson has significant influence over large numbers of people. If he keeps this up he will cause many of them to help elect Hillary, all because of his pride.

If the 20% is killing unborn babies and banning guns... I KNOW that Reagan would say, “NO”! dobson is wrong about Fred... but he is 100% right when it comes to rootie. Having said that... dobson is only out for dobson... he is not the Christian man he portrays himself to be.

Ive been posting on here much longer than you. Its obvious that you cant debate. Heck I only thought that liberals like to call names when they cant make an argument but I guess there are some RINOs that are like that too. Pretty pathetic....

“Its pretty sad when the Republicans have to fear Christians standing by their principles”
it’s not fear of principles, but dealing with mis-guided use of those principles.
“If you want Hillary, then nominate Guliani”
It’s a matter that Dobson wants to give us Hillery whether we like it or not. He’s now in charge of the remote control.

Per your personal page you appear to be a Dennis Miller type who only cares about the WOT IN IRAQ. Yeah WOT in Iraq but we let criminals and terrorists cross our border freely. Give me a break. Its obvious you lack the reasoning to debate thoughtfully. Dont even ping me wacko.

The shame is on those who will support a liberal abortionist for president over a pro-life conservative when they know damned well that there are millions of pro-life Christians out there who will never vote for abortion. That may well be.
But while there may be grounds to chastize those who will support someone who turns a deaf ear to abortion, the fact remains that there is not a critical mass to out number those who support someone whose platform is not pro-life.
President Bush has failed to change the hearts and minds of the citizens. I was going to say in his efforts, but he really hasn't used the bully pulpit in that manner. So after almost 7 years of a pro-life presidency, there really has not been all that much movement. And we're on the cusp of having a Clinton calling the White House home after those 7 years.
It will probably come down to the lesser of two evils in many peoples eyes. But staying at home or voting a third party will be like peeing in your pants. A warm feeling for a few moments, but ultimately you're left with nothing more than cold soggy clothes.
Look at what happened to those handful of people who voted third party for Nader in 2000. For us, it was good news. For them, they lost the White House.
To: Jim Robinson
If you will just agree to the murdering of your children, then we can win the presidency. That would make a great bumper sticker. How about his one:
Vote Third party so Hillary can keep murdering children!
Dobson and his colleagues will have to do more than make threats to hand the election to Hillary Clinton. Are they supporting a conservative, pro-life candidate who can win the Republican nomination? Will they help him win the general election? Long-term, do they have a plan for overturning Roe v. Wade?
