Eurocrats target Poland
The Washington Times ^ | October 10, 2007 | Paul Belien

Last Thursday, Viscount Etienne Davignon, a Belgian who is the chairman of the secretive Bilderberg Group, celebrated his 75th birthday. Mr. Davignon is a former vice president of the European Commission and the author of the 1970 "Davignon Report" that laid the foundations for a common European foreign policy. In the Viscount's honor a conference about the future of the European Union was held in the prestigious Egmont Palace in Brussels. One of the speakers was the wealthy anti-Bush activist George Soros, another was Daniel Cohn-Bendit, an erstwhile campus revolutionary during the 1968 Paris student riots, who is currently a German member of the European Parliament for the Green Party.

Mr. Soros opined that the EU incarnates the "open society." Mr. Cohn-Bendit advocated that the EU expel member states that are "not European enough." Countries which Europe should throw out because they hamper the EU's aim of transforming itself into a federal superstate are the United Kingdom and Poland. Mr. Davignon reiterated Mr. Cohn-Bendit's position, albeit in a more diplomatic way. Europe should debate its future "without shunning taboos" by pondering "whether countries that systematically thwart European integration should not be ousted."

The so-called Eurocrats dislike the British because the latter believe democracy means that the people decide through their national parliaments. The British oppose technocrats, like Mr. Davignon and his ilk in the unelected EU bureaucracy, who impose trans-European policies that bypass all national legislatures. But what have to Poles done to antagonize the Eurocrats? Today is the "European day against the death penalty." The EU wanted to inaugurate the event with a common European declaration against capital punishment. Poland thwarted this by refusing to sign the declaration because the EU did not condemn abortion and euthanasia as well.

While secularism is the EU's prevailing ideology, the Poles keep referring to Europe's Christian heritage.

It is true.

I suspect that George Soros is a reincarnated Sadducee or money changer, not the best character to be advocating anything. His open society philosophy is suicidal; it is an open door to a take over by Islamists. They will use the open door to institute Shira law, rename the cities and countries, and get rid of those who want not be become a Muslim. Poland stands alone in rightfully challenging this insane and self destructive policy.

Last month, during an EU meeting on the death penalty, the Polish justice minister confronted his Danish colleague with Denmark's annual 15,000 abortions and the latter — a member of the Danish Conservative Party — got so angry that she left the room, slamming the door

When was the last time you heard of a EU official "slamming the door" in anger after meeting with Iran about their nuclear program, meeting with Sudan about Mugabe's etnic cleansing of whites, or Castro about political prisoneers? You'll never see it happen because they don't care. They only care about living in their illusionary uptopia and Poland does not have the right to question their values.

The only problem for the EU is that Poland is not affraid of their wrath. There is nothing the EU can dish out that Moscow hasn't already tried in years past.

With British resistance getting weaker and weaker, now the Poles, and the Czechs, are our only hope against a Brussels dictatorship.

Poland has a courageous, culturally conservative government right now, but every country has its Leftist fifth column. Over the coming decades, the EU Left will try to subvert the Christian cultural foundations of Poland by infiltrating its educational system and other institutions, just as the Left has done so successfully in America. The U.S. used to be a predominantly Christian, courageous, morally upright, and tough nation also.

The more I learn about the Poles, the more I respect them.

The opposite is true when it comes to the EU elites.

One of the advantages of belonging to the EU has been the opportunity for young Poles to travel, study and work in other EU countries.

The problem with this wonderful experience is that these young Poles are picking up the prevalent anti-Americanism in these countries. At least, this is what some Polish university professors shared with me.

While an unborn child is both - human beeing and a part of the mother an abortion can be seen as both - murder and medical treatment.

Killing a criminal is certainly a very undisputable act.

If I remember correctly - killing is something that is not allowed for a christian.

So I guess by the standard of jesus the danes are the better christians.

Abortion is a murder by the standards of jesus same as capital punishment and euthanasia...

Abortion as medical treatment has got nothing to do with faith.

What does it mean to be “better christian”? is there a league of christans or something? where can I sign in?

Jesus said, referring to the children: "Whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believes in me, it is better that a millstone were hanged around his neck and he were cast into the sea." Causing someone to be drowned is killing.

He pardoned the adultress when others wanted to stone her but I don't recall where He said that murderers were not to be put to death.

I was referring to individuals, not countries; I know that Poland is a member of the G6.

What do you mean by EU elite then ?

(from the article:) "...technocrats, like Mr. Davignon and his ilk in the unelected EU bureaucracy, who impose trans-European policies that bypass all national legislatures."

Dear American Government,

Please defer all Palestinian aid to Poland immediately.

Thanks,

Mr Davignon has nothing elitary to him. As You said he’s just an officer. We’ll overcome this. Not at least with the help of poland.
