But all this deep seated bitterness on her part is useless. So he cast his essentially wasted vote in line with his principles, not her principles. So what? The point had been made about Clinton and all they were going to get had been done. At best they would have failed with 55 votes which is still a failure...

I don’t like that analogy at all. So another words if someone votes for abortion rights because they know it won’t pass that is ok? Voting for Gay marriage is ok as long as the votes are not there??? Bad example. Fred voted and now has to live with it. We will see how the outcome is. As far as me voting for a candidate??? Well since Pennsylania votes in April 2008....guess what? The primaries will be over by then. If I had the chance to vote it would most certainly be Duncan Hunter, but I know I won’t get that chance unfortunately.

Deep seated bitterness

That's one way of looking at it. Another is, because FDT voted to acquit on the perjury charge.

Well, for my money, deep-seated bitterness takes it. Why? Coulter's a lawyer and she could, if she wished, go to the record and critique what FDT wrote on the subject, and yet she hasn't done so. I don't see any point-by-point examination, by Coulter, of Thompson's recorded thinking on the impeachment charges.

What I do see is her sniping at FDT and misrepresenting the facts.

If she can't or won't refute Thompson's conclusions, the animus is not grounded in reason but in something else.

As a PA resident, it doesn't even pay me to get excited about the primary, since as you state, the primaries are over by the time we get to vote in April 2008.

Now that Ann Couter has shot herself in the what rhymes with stick, and embarrassed us all who have supported her, with that incredibly stupid and insensitive remark, who gives a rat's patoot what she thinks about pretty much anything ... from the Chosen People to Fred Thompson?

She is not Dorothy Parker mouthing off at her table at the Algonquin Bar to 5 or 6 oh-so-incredibly-sophisticated New York friends. Hasn't this woman yet understood that whenever she burps, 10 million people have to say "excuse me?"
