I don’t mind Ann not liking Fred because of his Clinton impeachment vote, I do mind her misrepresenting and downright lying about the facts in order to smear him. That article Ann wrote is so lame and so freaking unfair it is on the same level as the media smear against Rush.

I have always liked Ann and just love it when she smashes liberals.....but that is based on the assumption she is doing the bashing based on the truth. Now, with this blatant smear against Fred for all to see, I now have doubts about Ann being truthful in other articles. She does herself no favors with this crap, she certainly does conservatism no favors with this crap, she doesn’t help Duncan Hunter at all with this crap....its just CRAP and very sad to see.

He voted guilty on obstruction of justice and not guilty on perjury.

Few of us warned our fellow freepers about Anne Coulter and that she is just an "attention *****" more than anything else. She goes over the top on many issues even when she attacks liberals. She does not attacks them in a smart and destructive way unlike Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and many other conservative media personalities who destroy liberals in smart and intelligent ways. I am sorry to say it but that is the truth. And now she is going against Thompson who is a great conservative and someone who can destroy Hillary Clinton in the general elections, I mean an absolute destruction.

Who is she rooting for by the way? who is her candidate? Is she picking someone who has zero chance of winning a single primary let alone the general elections?

Yes it’s hard to believe Coulter is being so lackadaisical with the facts.

Thompson indeed threw the book at Clinton on obstruction and voted to convict. He voted to acquit on perjury, not because Clinton was not guilty of perjury, but because the perjury did not involve an abuse of Presidential powers, whereas the acts of obstruction were certainly connected with abusing those powers.

Thompson knew the perjury crime would be followed up in a court of law, not a Senate trial. Senate trials are to investigate and determine facts regarding crimes that involve an abuse of Presidential powers such as using White House employees to cover up a crime.

Regarding the Clinton Senate trial Thompson’s legal analysis and summation were brilliant, showing his intellect to be on par with Lincoln’s.
