The day I joined a website looking for no strings sex
Daily Mail ^ | 11th October 2007 | TOM MITCHELSON

[blah, blah, blah... at the end he makes his point]

Sue has been fairly typical of the women I have encountered on this website. She seemed lonely, bored and dissatisfied with her life. All she could see ahead of her was an endless round of cooking, cleaning, career and children.

Of course, there's nothing wrong with wanting to interrupt a destructive, depressing cycle to your life.

But what is shocking is the cold and calculating approach of these women, and the assumption that secret meetings with a married man can cure all the ills they see in their own families.

The women who use this website want romance, but these three meetings seemed utterly unromantic to me.

When we met, most of them acted as if they were prepared to go to bed with me on the first meeting, and for that they were willing to risk wrecking their own home life and mine.

Men are brought up to believe that it is we who relentlessly seek sex, that we are the ones who can separate the emotional from the physical.

But judging from the women I encountered, they have learned how to cast off their marriage vows and their love for their children, and risk it all for the sake of a liaison with a man they may never see again. What a triumph for our times.

The emptiness of the secular life. Good article.

I’m guessing more people will read this for the titillation from the “blah blah blah” than the author’s moral of the story.

I’m sure Bill O’Reilly will be contacting him soon so he can have another moral outrage segment.

There is a huge social breakdown, it doesn't stop with sexual infidelities. Lots of lying and cheating at work, tax evasion, hiring illegals, illegals spririting money out of the country and avoiding taxes, no interest in a job well done, political corruption.

It's easy to say religion used to provide the reason not to act this way. That's certainly a big part of it.

‘I’m later propositioned by someone who tells me she has an hourglass figure. Her photograph reveals that the hour has stretched to 90 minutes. ‘

I guess her time was up....

What a triumph for our times.

While I'm sure that some men, and some women, would consider it a triumph, it's not just "our times".
Men, and women, have been doing this from, almost, the beginning of time.

I guess these women never thought about spicing up their married life by coming on to their husbands. What a pity.

Amen! I spend a lot of time preventing other people at the university I work at from trying to steal my work! Employees fabricating time worked, stealing, writing false evaluations, etc... . Many of these people must lead empty lives as they seem to spend all day and night either trying to think up ways to avoid work or how to destroy others so that they can take their place. Machiavellian times were too amateurish compared to what I see today!

New technology to assist in something that has been going on since time began.

If it wasn’t an age old problem, it likely would not have made into the top 10 (commandments).

He’s drop dead gorgeous! Which is beside the point.

What is missing in modern life is adversity. Human beings need challenges. Life is just too dang easy.

I’m looking forward to the imminent food shortage caused by *bee colony collapse*. That’ll give all these bored women something to do! Growing vegetables and having to cross pollinate them manually.

This cybersex may indeed be God’s way to prepare humanity for the next crisis. *How to pollinate masses of unfamiliar fruit-bearing entities.
