The PTA needs to focus more on why our children are stupid.

I help out at school, but I don’t join the PTA — and I give only to the local group when there is a designated project. A lot of conservative parents think they are being good citizens by joining the PTA, unaware that they are supporting a lot of hairbrained legislation they wouldn’t knowingly contribute to.

Why can’t a repub legislator put forth a bill to just reauthorize the program exactly the way it was? no expansion? If it isn’t allowed to be voted on, they can at least have that to combat all the lib whining. Either way, they can get the truth on the record that Bush isn’t against SCHIP, just the unreasonable expansion.
