Fred is being asked about illegal immigration and border security.....
Fred is saying that Congress tried to "sell the same horse twice" this year, referring to another amnesty attempt like was passed in 1986. Fred feels it is important to effectively close the border first, and then deal with the other issues. We are catching thousands of people coming over our borders from nations that are sponsors of terrorism. In the era of the suitcase bomb, we cannot allow that to continue. This is not a matter of "how to", it is a matter of will. It can be solved if we have the will to do it.
What is your opinion of "sanctuary cities".......
Many cities have passed ordinances at odds with immigration law. They prevent dealing with illegal aliens in their cities. Fred feels federal funds should be taken away from cities that do not abide by immigration law. We must stop providing the lures of sanctuary cities if we are going to get this issue under control.
What is your view of abortion on demand in this country.....
I'm against it. I'm one of the few people running who actually has a voting record on this issue. I have a 100% pro-life voting record as a senator. I've been blessed early in my life and late in life with children. They are a total, total blessing, and I feel this issue more deeply now than ever before. Seeing the sonnogram of my little girl deepened my commitment.
What about embryonic stem-cell research funding.........
I support the President in his vetoes. The Federal Government simply cannot be in the business of creating human life in order to destroy it. With the adult stem-cell research, it is not even necessary.
What types of Justices would you nominate to Federal Courts and the Supreme Court......
People who abide by the Constitution instead of making it up as you go along. The Founding Fathers never intended an unelected branch of government to make law. It was a great privilege to me to help John Roberts get through the nomination process. A President should keep on sending up conservative judges until one gets confirmed. That is a battle we can win with the American people.
How can the tone in Washington be changed......
Maybe we need a different kind of politician. The next Republican must be a decent person and must build a coalition across the nation to bring people together.
Why is it important for the U.S. to remain a strong supporter of Israel.......
Our common history and heritage of faith, as well as Israel being an island of democracy in that part of the world, we must be supportive of Israel. Israel is surrounded by hostility. I am concerned about the future and we must stand strong with them.
Why are you running for the Presidency..........
That's the most important question of all. Most people who know me know I do not have a burning ambition to do this. But I am concerned for the future of my children and feel I must do something about it. We are at a crossroads in so many ways. Will we remain a strong and a good nation, or will we become more like the nations of Europe. We need to be more unified as a people in order to win the War on Terror. We are spending our children's inheritance and we can do better than that. We need a President who understands the glory of our past and believes in our future. I believe I am that man.

I heard that interview and it was very good. Thanks for posting this information. The interview he did with Charlie Gibson [on the internet today] and this interview answers a lot of questions that freepers have asked. The whole interview was good, but the abortion answer is a home run from a conservative point of view.
