What makes you think he is one of God’s children? Simply being human doesn’t make anyone His child. Made in His image, but alienated by sin. Made His child by new life in Christ, being adopted by God. Those not in Christ are actually spiritual children of Satan. It’s in the Book.

You can wish him a speedy recovery, but he is as much of an enemy as any NVA or VC or Al Qaeda combatant, and frankly I don't wish my enemies good fortune. They're "God's children" too, but I didn't wish any of them a "speedy recovery" I wonder how many vets out there were wishing that nothing bad ever happened to their enemies. I get tired of the sanctimonious attitudes expressed by some of the people here.
