Speaking for myself, I cannot say I was surprised, rather a bit disappointment. But it´s not as if the decision is shocking. The Comittee is well known for its leftists views. What has Gore done for world peace??

Klaus said that only Al Gore, and not a sane person, would say that mankind is ruining the planet.

The Limits to Growth, malthusian, Gaia, Silent Spring aggregate is determined to reduce earth's human population to 200 million, of which all would be them.

At some point in time, in the future, these people of today (not the Czech Prez) will be shown to be the frauds and charlatans that they truly are.........

We need Vaclav to make an appearance in this country and speak to the people. I know that he would never be allowed on our university campus's as they only allow speech that supports their leftist philosophy or in someway is anti American or anti freedom. But the people need to listen carefully to what he has to say, we need to give him a forum.

President Vaclav Klaus, a rare vocal global- warming sceptic...

And OTOH, former Vice President Algore, a very vocal global-warming septic...

Bump that!

"It rather seems that Gore's doubting of basic cornerstones of the current civilization does not contribute to peace."

You said a mouthful, Vaclav! Anyway, the only peace connected to Gore would be when he shuts his PIEHOLE!

It’s interesting to hear some of these people who came out from behind the Iron Curtain. They can see through a lot of BS and propaganda. Thank god a few survived.

The Czech President is a good guy, he knows this global warming agenda is BS. I’d say we should send Gore over there to listen to him, but the Czechs have already seen enough of communism. Not that Gore would listen anyway—what we need is for Vaclav to come over here and speak about the fakery behind Gore and the global warmingites for the public to hear.

And frankly, I agree with him—just why the hell DID Gore win this? Even if he made an accurate film about global warming that still has nothing to do with peace. And the fact that you can win Nobel prizes nowadays for making inaccurate, unscientific films to further your political agenda is disgusting.

President Vaclav Klaus rules!

President George W Bush, please take note that at least one president has the gonads to understand what a scam this is.

The Nobel Peace Prize Committee has made the most stupid choice of all time, exceeding even that of Yasser Arafat. Exceeding even the choice of Peanut Broker Jimmuh Cahtah.

I'm conflicted with this.

One of the nominees was a woman who rescued over 2000 children from the Nazis. I just shake my head at the thought of her losing out to a fraud like Gore.

On the other hand, she deserves a lot better than being included in the same group as Gore, Jimmah and Arafat.

Al Gore is a loon and this shows you how many other loons are in the world and why there is so much war and poverty.

Why should he be surprised? This award has been going to those who support socialist ideas.

Czech president Vaclav Klaus: "surprised" at Nobel prize for Gore

No surprise here.
