I’m not old enough to quite remember the Ford administration, but I’ve heard it was pretty bad and wimpy. Was his administration as bad as Bush’s? Honest question; I swear.

Hard to tell. Ford did have some backbone to confront N. Koreans when Panmunjom Ax murder incident occurred. U.S. and S. Koreans were ready to move 100km into N. Korea and liberate the area in retaliation for the atrocity.
The incident ended only when Kim Il-sung, then the leader of N. Korea, officially apologized.

So much history has been written and taught by those harboring a blinding hatred for President Nixon ,and because of that President Ford is unfairly smeared . I have known several people who worked with President Ford in politics and through academic positions and to a man they say he was one of the finest men they ever knew .
