Turkey is attacked now by Democrats BECAUSE it is an ally and has helped the US with Iraq. The two sides in this war face each other just as much in Washington as in Iraq.

If Congress cared at all about condemning genocide they would’ve done this 90 years ago when it actually happened. The fact that they’re bringing this up now says they’re looking to turn an ally against us in the hope of alienating the US in the war on terror. What’s doubly suspicious is that this is happening after all the Dems’ cut and run bills failed; the Rats are moving to plan B: ticking off our allies.

Turkey is not only of value in the WOT, but also against Russia. During the Cold War we had missiles based in Turkey pointed at the USSR as a defense after the Cuban missile crisis. And with Putin in office (with no end of term in sight, it seems), the Cold War won’t be officially over for quite a while.
