Those election 04 maps, and the earlier recall election maps say the proposal has a great chance of being passed.

The proposed initiative for the change on how our electoral delegates are selected is dead in the water from what I read a couple weeks back. The Republican proponents that created the proposal have abandoned it last I heard.

Alternate approach:

(only half tongue in cheek)

Have the entire rural east half of the state, simply merge with Nevada...

New Nevada would become a big Republican state, balancing out the electoral votes of the now-smaller leftist California.

Win. Win.

That is a real shame, I was hoping you all could pull it off. Republicans chickened out again, what a surprise!
