As far as I am concerned Allah is God in Arabic and we are referring to the same God.

I think you are in the minority here.

I’ll be happy to be wrong about that.

The Soviet Union is alive and well on American College campuses.

"Only Congress has the power to establish a religion and they are restricted from doing so."

They are restricted, yes. But the power to establish a religion was not removed from the states -- states were free to recognize their own church, and some did.

For example, Congregationalism remained the official state religion of Connecticut until 1818 and of Massachusetts until 1833.

Too bad George Will has become part of the problem.

I took a Women’s Studies course at a major university in 1989. I thought I would get a balanced view of things. Gee was I naive.

It was horrible, I felt sad for the women who were thinking that this is the way they should look at the world.

Actually, his column is a regular in the EDITORIAL section of the OC Register.

And the comment about the OC Register leaning left is very accurate.

With his blatant support of Rudy and his unscrupulous attacks against Fred, I have a hard time wasting even a minute of my time reading anything from somebody so willing to turn his back on conservatism and support a RHINO.

Congress is also forbidden from prohibiting the free exercise thereof.

A component many seem to forget. There is no question that this "dis-establishment clause" is just as important as the (fictitious) "wall of separation between church and state." Yet in instance after instance, the government DOES prohibit the free exercise of religion, by forbidding its practice anywhere in public. Since the practice of religion is, by definition, not an exclusively private experience, restricting its practice in public is tantamount to a prohibition of part -- if not all -- of it.

Eventually -- hopefully before it's too late -- someone in the legal profession is going to step up and force the ACLU and other god-haters out of business. Barring that, folks who choose to practice their religion had better be prepared to defend that right in the streets.

Oh, okay...I’ll look out for it...although I’m not a big George Will fan these days...and if the title of the piece hadn’t caught my eye, I probably wouldn’t have bothered to even read it on Real Clear Politics much less post it.

Art History is 100% recitation of the same old BS, first about one artist, and then about another.

With more than a handful of artists in the family, everyone here knows that artists are not motivated in their work by anything ever taught in an art history course of anykind, anywhere, anytime.

When and how did these commies infiltrate and monopolize academia, culture, and gov bureaucracies.

During the Viet Nam war, these were the longhairs who got deferments by staying in school. They got their graduate degrees and began infecting the system.

Forty years later, they are the leaders of academe and are moving to ensure their legacy by appointing the next generation of professors.

Like liberals always do, they have corrupted the infected institution beyond recognition.

They wouldn't be able to do that today with all the separation of Church and State people running around.

I couldn’t find this on the front page of the increasingly left leaning OC Register’s front page this AM.

Why are you helping pay the salaries of the MSM??? You get better reading here, so what's the point of a newspaper?

Several years ago, I interviewed to be the business manager for a local junior college. I was not interviewed by the Trustees, but by 5 liberal professors. Their biggest question was how I felt about diversity...so, I played with them and told them that I thought it was great that women were now more involved in the work force, even though they had less management experience. I could tell by their facial expressions that “I was not politically correct enough to manage their business administration”...so now they probably have a politically correct moron screwing up their financial system.

If our “dumbed down” society can enjoy the complexity of the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, and if “The Passion of the Christ” swept records, then I have to side on analytical hope for America.

I thought the last presidential elections had so much at stake. This century’s beginning has become the settings for Communist styled revolution on a massive front. Thank God, the attacks are still being separated by Spirit more than what Socialist Germany, Russia, and China had to face.

Why do I think conservative thought and tradition will continue to win?

Because people with darker shades of skin generally have more religion of the type that loves Jesus AND His Teachings (a strike against Atheism that desires idolatry of the state Socialist Communism).

Because heterosexuality is still the preferred lifestyle in spite of temptations of the flesh. And in spite of all who suffer promiscuity, most still generally want a fruitful match made in heaven and a loving natural family.

Because even though the liberal media has extremely loud extremism, it’s not as deafening as Radio or the Internet’s impact.

Because legal immigrants who are allowed to vote will side with Rule of Law concerning immigration rather than the massive amount of illegals who have no political voice.

Because of the massive amount of data collection required to ensure a safe America, voter fraud will be at an all time low.

Because sin continues to pervert its future by lack of child bearing, and abortion continues to dwindle sin’s numbers.

Why will I continue to live with my “bags packed”? Because America voted for Clinton twice. As much hope I have for our political future, I still remember being a soldier of sin’s will. I have an analytical hope for America and a Spiritual Hope for the Divine Kingdom. The world can change in a blink of an eye, especially if we’re sleepy instead of vigilant.

Perhaps 2008 will be quite defining because of the shear numbers involved. The Culture of Death is dwindling and at a noticeable rate. Will it go out with a bang like the Battle of the Bulge, or will it limp like a nagging pneumonia still rejecting Divine Mercy? Considering Communist history, if a Mao Zedong or Stalin gets a toe hold of a presidential power now, there will be purges against Christianity, Judaism, and yes, even Muslims (who’ve always respected unborn life) of the extreme measure. Considering the purging of intellectuals in all Socialist Communist societies, anyone with a drop of talent will be twisted, turned, or executed by hard labor.

Still, my analytical hope sees good numbers. I think that our Battle of the Bulge came with Clinton and the tens of millions murdered happened, and continues to happen with abortion.

“I interviewed to be the business manager for a local junior college. ...Their biggest question was how I felt about diversity”

Diversity, like global warming is a liberal con used to push their agenda. It is used to counter arguments about maintaing standards and qualifications in business and education. Sure the student can’t read or do math at the 9th grade level, but he brings diversity to the campus, they’ll say.
Understandably, many conservatives will bail out of a job interview when faced with such an ideological litmus test at the hands of faculty neo-communists. Unfortunately it allows them to keep opposing views off campus.
