Given Thompson's performance in campaign events, I think this is a good strategy for him.

LOL! I knew someone would post that his failure to be very active is really a brilliant campaign strategy on his part.

“LOL! I knew someone would post that his failure to be very active is really a brilliant campaign strategy on his part.”

I think it’s a very rare individual who would dislike Fred Thompson. He’s a sincere, straight-shooting guy.

But he knew going into this race that the main “knock” on him was doubts about his energy and health. That being the case, the thing for him to do is clearly to campaign from dawn to dusk to show he has the ability to do so.

But he has been doing just the opposite, which means either he doesn’t care enough to work very hard for the presidency, or else he does care but his health doesn’t permit him to do so.

Either way, he just doesn’t have the look of a serious candidate, which is a shame because he otherwise presents a nice package as a candidate.

Exactly, this is not strategy, it's flat-out incompetence and a sure way to lose.
