The turks were murders and committed genocide. If a bunch of turks can't handle the fact they committed genocide then

they are no ally.

Right you are, they are no ally to the USA. Whatever we have received from them in the way of use of air bases, etc., they were payed well for the right.

We seem to forget they sent the 4th ID packing and totally changed the war strategy already. It kept the Sunni triangle from being pacified in a more timely manner and likely cost some marines their lives when they had to clear the area later.

I think Turkey is in a snit over nothing anyway, HR 106 was sent to committee for review and more than likely will come out quite differently than it went in. I don’t blame them I wouldn’t even want it mentioned had I murdered 1.5 million Christians. America is condemned every other day by one nation or the other and we don’t start threatening that country because we don’t agree with their condemnations.

Turkey can’t do anymore to hurt our efforts in Iraq than they already have. They can change the logistics, make them more difficult, but that’s it. If they don’t want the business, someone else will. It will make logistics more difficult but, although more difficult, the job will get done, one way or the other.

As far as Turkey invading the Kurds, let them. If they attack the Kurds they will quickly lose their taste for war. US and Iraqi diplomats need to get on this and assure Turkey they are going to dissolve the PKK. You don’t need 160 k troops on the border to bring the PKK to justice or capture or kill them. I smell a rat, a genocidal, land-hungry Turkish rat.

That statement ignores several facts and occurrences of the last 107 years and particularly of the cold war period and modern history.

You may want to read up on world history as pertains to Turkey and their valuable relationship with us, NATO, and the U.N.

For example, did you know they fought beside our troops in N.K.? Our troops respected them, the Chinese and N.K. troops feared them, and they were critical to the U.N. successes there. Did you know their military was important to holding the Warsaw pact in check during the cold war?

But as I mentioned, their history is more than that and anyone who pays attention, relationships in the Middle East and with islamic counties are very complicated.

The whole reason for the democrat’s resolution was directly to stir up trouble for our troops and our countries military.

Can you see that at all?

they are no ally.

Well right now, 90% of the food, water, equipment, etc, gets to our troops via Turkey's air or land.

I'd call that pretty damn valuable.

My grandson is one of those troops - Airborne TF - in one of the most dangerous zones of Afghanistan, 45 minutes from the nearest running water - only MRE's to eat...fired on each and every day, patrolling roads with IED's - and the new equipment being sent to help keep them from being blown up is shipped across Turkey.

There are those who would read your pompous statement and say
