What's truly amazing is the way so many Freepers fell so hard for Fred, with so little in the man's resume to back it up.

Not very different from the way all of DU fell for Bev Harris. And the hangover is going to be almost as much fun to watch.

Mind you, I don't dislike Fred and I would vote for him if he were the GOP candidate, but in so many ways he strikes me as Bob Dole redux.

Are you friggin' serious? Comparing Fred's candidacy to a con artist who scammed DUers out of cash for a non-existent Diebold conspiracy?

No, what's amazing is how poor the field was for conservatives that Fred managed to jump into the top 3 with little no campaigning. He's spent little to no campaign money in Iowa, but already he's number 2, where Mitt has basically bought the state for around $30 million.

New Hampshire's relevance has dwindled to nil after 2000. Bush proved that you not only don't need New Hampshire to win, you don't need New Hampshire to win big.
