I don't know that he isn't. But he certainly doesn't give the impression that he is enthusiastic, which is itself important.

I like the guy. I might even vote for him in the primaries. But perceptions are important, and I haven't seen the hunger, the fire in the belly that a GOP candidate will need to win next year.

It's early yet, there's still time, but he'll have to show it eventually if he really wants the job.
