He shoots, he scores! David Horowitz hits the nail right spang on its head! And he's an agnostic!!!

I hope the ADL will condemn moslems for thinking that all Jews (and all other non-moslems) should either convert to islam or be killed. I'm sure this will be forthcoming--NOT!!!

What these attacks on chr*stian evangelism by liberal Jews obscures is that Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox are equally paranoid about Protestant missionaries, treating a tract left under a windshield with the second coming of Oliver Cromwell. Liturgical chr*stians who are criticizing Jews for their reaction to Ann's remarks (and I criticize them as well, believe me) should reevaluate their paranoid reaction every time some poor Protestant asks one of them "are you saved?"

..that is antisemitic?

I don't care about all that nonsense. I think it is idiotic for either Jews to be offended by her, or for Christians to defend her. Coulter makes stupid comments everytime she puts out a new book. She does it on purpose, to make more money from the resulting hysteria. For the life of me I do not understand why people keep taking the bait. Do you receive her royalty checks? Why not let HER defend and explain herself for a change. She contributes almost nothing to the conservative cause. As a speaker she is incredibly dull (I have suffered through 5 or 6 of her nasally bore-fests myself at events I attended). Anne is about making money for herself, and she is very good at it.

I'm not Horowitz' greatest fan, but he certainly shows a lot more sense on this than a lot of FReepers have.

His own article is HERE.

This conservative Jew, longtime Freeper, thinks Ann is a national treasure. Let's not fall for this liberal attack scheme.

Ann and every other effective conservative is subjected to endless parsing of every word they utter in a search for attack material. Ann is and always has been a friend of Jews and Israel. Those besmirching her cannot make the same claim.

I don't care about all that nonsense.

Then why are you reading these threads and 'commenting on it'? It is fine not to care for Coulter or her lectures or her books. Don't buy the books and certainly don't go listen to 5 or 6 lectures which you finds dull and boring. She probably does make a lot of money. Are you against the free market? She doesn't hold a gun to anyones' head to force them to buy a book. Do you keep going to listen to Annes' 'bore-fest' lectures which you say are boring every time, yet you must seem to expect a different outcome. What does that define?

Why not let HER defend and explain herself for a change.

Well, she has done just that. But she is non omipresent, and here is an article posted on FR and freepers are discussing the issues brought up. If you don't want to engage in the conversation..don't. There are many other articles on news issues to consider.

Relax, we're all just talking. Most of us are not calling others names. That might be nice for you to consider when you write to "all of the idiots", having a conversation on this issue, as you put it (I think you referred to those Jews and Christians as idiotic). Just think what you would say if Coulter had made such a statement.

Horowitz...in fact, any thinking person would not be offended by Coulter's words.

The entire Coulter episode is a Media Matters attempt to muddy the waters in the wake of the "General Betray Us" ad, the "O'Reilly black restaurant" comments and the Rush Limbaugh "phony soldiers" fiasco.

Liberals keep whining and whining and whining and whining--because they don't want their hateful attitudes toward the troops, freedom, all religion, and average Americans to be discussed.

The speeches of hers that I've heard have been at functions honoring others. Such as one honoring the great Phyllis Schlafly. Phyllis spoke with passion and fervor, but also with dignity and grace. Everyone was moved. Then Ann came on with her nasally, whining attacks. People just looked at each other like "huh?" She barely mentioned Ms. Schlafly. She was just full of nasty invective, with forced double-entendres and attempts at humor which missed badly. There is no grace in the woman, no gravitas. Just shrill self-promotion and arrogance. Was there any point at all to her creating a false division between Jews and Christians? Was it part of some grand point she was trying to get across? No. She does this like clockwork with every book release, to generate controversy and increase her book sales. I'm happy for you if you enjoy it, but I for one am dumbfounded by how people always seem to take her bait and fight her contrived, temporary "battles" for her.

Phyllis Schlafly is a great person. I agree with you. I am not a Coulter sycophant, but what she said was only a catalyst to separate Jews and Christians by those who chose see her words as divisive. I think Horowitz was just about on the mark when he explained that Christians, who worship a Jew, Jesus, want to invite others to become Christians. She did not say Jews were inferior. The term perfectibility is referencing the New Testament where people who are imperfect (all of us) are made perfect in the sacrificial death of Jesus, if we accept Him. That is not an invitation of hate, but of love. It was not meant to hurt the feeling of Jewish people, it was meant by Coulter to offer Mr.Deutch the very best thing Coulter could offer. That was the heart of Coulter when she made the offer, not a heart filled with hate. To see it otherwise is to willfully assent to what could not be. If Ms. Coulter did not care about Deutch, she would never have offered to him an invitation to take him to her church. You don't ask people you hate to do that. That is how the Christian faith sees it. If Jews see it otherwise, they simply don't understand the fundamentals of the Christian faith. I made the same offer to my children as they were growing up....that they become Christians. When they did it was a very glorious time for us. I would not have taught them of this Jew, Jesus, if I did not love them.

I have read that Jews, when they become Christian, do not refer to themselves as Christians, but as Messianic Jews. They continue to keep the Levitical Law in all of its points, as Jesus did. They keep the various festivals and feasts, and holy days of Judaism, as Jesus did. I think that is a beautiful thing. I think if a person sat and watched Coulter on that show an honest hearing would be that she was not there to show disrespect to Jewish people. I am sorry many take it that way.

You know, after about the 2000th attack by you on Ann Coulter, I think we’ve all got it by now. You don’t like her. Roger that. Now, why don’t you can it. Your continual derogatory comments are the real bore-fest here.

I thought the “conversation” with donnie dumbo was pretty worthless. He was looking for some crummy publicity and he got it. Ann walked into his trap by even appearing on his stupid show. This was unnecessary controversy. all day yesterday I was receiveing emails and nasty comments about it (what with my being Jewish and a conservative).
