CNN MEDIA SURGE? (YON REPLACES WARE IN IRAQ?)
cnn ^ | 10/1502997 | milwguy

I was watching CNN (I know, I know!, but I was actually channel surfing) and imagine my shock when I saw a report from IRAQ. Instead of the perpetually negative MICAHAEL WARE going on about how unsafe Iraq, Baghdad and anywhere outside the Green Zone was, I saw Michael Yon giving a balanced report of the progress the surge has had................. ,,,,To me, this is a sure sign that the surge has made a difference, NOT just on the ground in Iraq, but in an equally important battlefield, the MSM. For CNN to put on Michael Yon is tantamound to admitting their correspondent WARE has been drinking to much of the liberal Kool Aid. Am I wrong, or is the first time Yon has been featured as a reporter on CNN? Come to think of it, I have not seen many reports at all from Michael Ware. I am sure the KOS KIDS are incensed over this development, but sooner or later the public will believe what they see with their eyes, especially if the MSM starts showing them the truth. They can not longer resort to the "who are you going to beleive, me or your lying eyes" retort they have used for the last three years. Michael Ware is a CNN correspondent based in the international news network’s Baghdad bureau. Ware joined CNN in June 2006 and quickly established himself as one of the foremost on air experts on Iraq, providing in-depth analysis and reports across all CNN networks.

This is pretty much the equivalent of replacing Nancy Pelosi with Rush Limbaugh.

My take is that CNN might be trying to get out in front of the eventual victory in Iraq — so that they can say that they were the first to call it. They’ll spin all their previous negativity to make it seem that the victory was due to the “constructive criticism” that they gave for years. That’s my guess anyhow — one thing for certain, none of the MSM, CNN included, will ever admit that they were wrong, nor will they accept responsibility for the harm their propaganda campaign caused.

You can rest assured that those responsible for airing a balanced assessment of the situation in Iraq have been sacked.

Ware is covering the Rugby games, he was a former player.

He will probably be back, unfortunately.

In the Summer of 2008 when the troops begin really coming home after the success in Iraq, all across America will look like this picture. The Democrats and the MSM will feel pretty small by then.

You may be right. Especially with H Clintoon making noise about warning Iran to behave. If we lose Iraq and leave the area there's very little to warn Iran about. (Israel can take care of itself.)

Whatever the reason from what I've read of his stuff Michael Yon will tell it straight.

That is excellent news indeed. This POS Ware has been siding with the enemy all the time in his reporting. Anyway, the media cannot hide the news of victory anymore no matter how hard they try and hence Yon an excellent and Patriotic reporter is replacing this Micheal Ware.

Good.

Ware was an open ally of al Qaeda in Iraq.

Check the website. Ware may just be on vacation or on assignment.

The surge must be working if it drove Ware out of Iraq.

I undestand Ware will probably be back. I sent an e-mail to Yon asking if he would be on CNN in the future. I will let freepers know what he says. I also requested a link to the CNN segment so I can pass it along to others. I would almost start watching more CNN if I knew he was going to be featured more. Tmie Warner is a business and they maybe see that the only way to compete with FOX is to be more ‘fair and balanced’. Money talks and ratings equal $, so I think it would be in CNN’s best interes to dump one Michael (ware) and replace him with another Michael (YON). Yon actually goes out and gets the stories, he doesn’t hole up in his hotel with a bottle of vodka and rely on what he sees outside his window and what rumors he hears as the basis for his reports.

Ware is a rat-faced bent-nosed Anti-American traitorous little creep, so he probably got promoted to a higher position by CNN.

One Yon report on CNN and you think the leopard has changed its spots.

Not likely - Democrat disingenuous is deeply ingrained at CNN! Its good news, but not earth changing.
