Why does Imus deserve to be deprived of his career and the right to free speech? Isn’t this what the Left likes to call McCarthyism? If he deserves this treatment, how about Al Sharpton and some of the other totally irresponsible big mouths on the Left?

McCarthyism is ok when the Right gets shut down. On campuses they call it hate speech. They are aiming here for the European model where it is a crime. Even the ACLU who used to champion free speech wants hate speech laws. I guess they think civil liberties should only go to those whose speech they like.
