Nobel Peace Prize winner Al Gores celebration weekend in Tennessee wasnt all dinner and dancing.
The former vice president managed to find time this past weekend to post a series of videos on his peer-to-peer video sharing site, Current.tv including one calling for government-funded health care. Gore is chairman of Current.tv.
In a setting reminiscent of a bored college student making a video in his dorm room, Gore is shown proclaiming that healthcare in America ought to be a matter of right, addressing what he thinks to be an immoral healthcare situation.

Where in the Constitution does it mention Health Care?
So Al is in favor of slavery.
Wait. Healthcare is a right IF YOU'RE A PRISONER.
He is running for President.
Alternatively, he thinks he can rewrite the basic laws of economics. Maybe Marx was right after all!
It is good to see Al Gore applying the same logic and sound reasoning that he brings to the study of Global Warming to other areas of public policy.
That’s exactly the first thought that popped into my head when seeing the headline.
Rights do not cost money nor do rights necessitate the taxing of Americans to pay for said rights. "You have the RIGHT to remain silent" cost nothing. Please exercise it Mr. "Snake Oil" Gore.
Mine, too. I think this is at least a trial balloon. The fact that this is part of a “series” makes me think he trying to imitate a certain other Tennessean.
Doesn’t need to. The United Nations Charter already calls it a human right.
“Article .01:
Congress shall provide healthcare, groceries, reading materials, education, nice clothing, mass transit and a case of beer and ten cent ceegars for the a-dults.”
But conjugal visits and cable tv are clearly within the founding fathers contemplation, so should be provided. /sarc
Is Gore going to pay for it himself???
The distribution system must be broken; I haven't been getting goodies for some time now.
I really miss the ten cent ceegars.
Algore is confused. He believes LESS health care is a human obligation to reduce global warming. Afterall the poor of Africa must stay poor and keep dying as the rest of us have fewer goods including less health care.
So algore says we have the right to less. And that would in fact be government provided.
But only if you’re not aborted during childbirth.
You forgot cell phones
Gore is shown proclaiming that healthcare in America ought to be a matter of right,
Theres a process for enumerating a right that was allegedly overlooked by the founding fathers.
Get started on the Constitutional Amendment fatass.
