"The state chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People said it was offensive and insensitive."

Slightly off topic but, what I find ironic is that if a caucasian (white guy) refers to a black man / African-American (pick the titel) as a "colored" person, Jesse and Al would go bonkers saying that the word "colored" is racist.

For years, I've said that the NAACP should have changed its moniker.

I'm confused.

‘Colored people’ is evil and insensitive, but ‘People of color’ is
the only phrase decent, sensitive people use, of course. (And yes, there are actually sites at which the mostly white members are so sunk in PC idiocy that they actually refer to themselves and all white people as “people without color”. I’m not making this up. I couldn’t make up something that inane and asinine-not enough imagination.)
