You want to fight abortion? Start by changing the hearts and minds of our children...create a culture of respect for life and a culture of non-violence. Labeling me a liberal is not the way to help me see your point. Rudy’s accomplishments are many and his leadership on September 11 was unmatched....that is a true potential candidate for President.

Charles Rangel, Norman Siegel and Mark Green are flipping out and LW liberal loons in NYC are already suffering from Rudy Derangement Syndrome.

If that is the case, my friend, then we are doomed. because none of these other guys have it, either.

I honestly don't believe that. A solid conservative candidate can and will beat Hillary. I do not share much of FreeRepublic's Hillaryophobia. I think she can be beaten, and I'm not much concerned about what a bunch of MSM-sponsored polls that canvass "all adults" say. Hillary has consistently shown the highest negatives of any candidate in either party, and several polls show that around 50% of voters simply would not vote for her, period. She's a paper tiger.

You want to fight abortion? Start by changing the hearts and minds of our children...create a culture of respect for life

And the way to do that is by NOT electing a leftist abortionist like Rooty Toots.

Rudy’s accomplishments are many and his leadership on September 11 was unmatched

Well, his FAILURES in the seven and a half years leading up to 9/11 are fairly well documented; but I'm curious, what exactly did Rooty DO on 9/11?

that is a true potential candidate for President.

Why then did it never occur to the GOP to run Husband E. Kimmell for president? Why aren't the Rats' pushing Ray Nagin? Both of them have/had the same records as Rooty Toots when it comes to being unprepared for disaster and trying to hog the limelight to cover-up their failures afterward.

You forgot “safe, legal, and rare.”

Let me give you some advice: the way to combat being called a “Liberal” is not by posting the oldest, most worn-out Liberal talking points on record. It is also not by coming to a board where Rudy911 is EXPRESSLY opposed, and thumping your chest, LITERALLY (see prior post of yours) chanting “Rudy! Rudy! Rudy!”

You are clearly not Pro-Life, regularly belittling the Pro-Life movement; and you openly and defiantly pimp for Rudy911 at FR. There MUST be some blog out there that has some semblance of your views, but FR is NOT one of them.

It is very difficult to get through the lies to find the real truth. Would it not be wonderful if all campaigns focused on the positives of the candidate, and let the opposition win or lose by their own facts.

Leave it to Charles Rangel to express an opinion with such elegance.

What's more depressing is so many posters here act more and more like Charlie Rangel expressing their disatisfaction with irrational personal attacks, hatred and vitriol, tools of the left. You are witnessing the growing inevitability of a Giuliani presidency. Those who oppose him have moved from shrugging it off as a possibility, to disbelief and denial, to the current panic from the extreme left and right.

From Rasmussen Reports (I apologize in advance for the lousy formatting!):

Survey of 800 Likely Voters
August 6-7 and August 8-9, 2007

Candidate Def. FOR Def. AGAINST Net

Obama 29% 35% -6

Clinton 33% 43% -10

Giuliani 26% 37% -11

Thompson 20% 33% -13

Edwards 20% 38% -18

McCain 16% 35% -19

Romney 16% 44% -28

The hildebeast has the highest negatives of ALL the candidates, followed closely by......Romney and rooty! There is a similar poll at CNN with essentially the same numbers.

This all goes to reinforce your point that, although this is a presidential election that features rather lack-luster candidates, the hildebeast can be beaten. But we aren’t going to accomplish it by propping up a liberal and hoping that people won’t notice.

>>HE WILL DESTROY the GOP whild Hitlery would strengthen the GOP<<

At first glance this would seem to be the case yet the GOP is still groping to the left for a Presidential candidate even with the walloping they received during the last elections. I'm thinking it will take more than a socialistic matriarchy to teach the Republican Party anything.

and he’s elected then he’ll be another Ahnold anyway. Either way, Libs win.

You nailed it. I could almost believe that the liberals of both parties got together with Rooty and planned it like this. If Rudy is nominated, which now appears likely, either way the 08 election goes we will get a liberal, pro-abort, anti-gun, pro-homo, pro-illegal immigration man or woman for president. It's gonna be a long and frustrating four years, if not eight.

Bush has aggravated me no end recently with his insane immigration policy and zeal for globalism, but I suspect that he will look like a giant among men in retrospect after a year or two of misery under a Rooty or Hillary administration.

Point #1: How bad can Giuliani be if he has enemies such as the likes of Charlie Rangel. Giuliani just went up a couple of notches in my book.

Do you have ANY idea how much Sharpton hates him, and vice-versa? In 8 years, he refused to even meet with this clown... That speaks volumes, in my book. Kudos to Rudy on that.

Compare a candidate like you compare cars or other things... If one feature is identicle between the two, then judge them on their differences elsewhere... and there are plenty

Other such enemies include(d) the National Right To Life, James Dobson, the NRA, Rush Limbaugh, Al D’amato, The Catholic Church, Richard Land, Jerry Falwell, Tony Perkins, Pat Buchanan, Alan Keyes, Ed Meese, Mark Levine, and the NY Conservative Party.

Perhaps you can measure him by his enemies after all.....

Great, so the answer is to have JRob weed out more moderately conservative folks, so this becomes a purely looney right site, the equivalent of DailyKos? How pathetic, and child-like

I, for one DON'T agree with JRob, with all due respect.

I do NOT support Rudy in the primaries... but I DO support his bashing of the witch. I DO appreciate what he did in a city of 8 million that was thought out of control... and I CERTAINLY will vote for him if he's running against Hillary, or any Dem...

There... I said it.!!!

Just like Finnman said, the extreme left and extreme right (though I love Rush)...

I'll bet you any amount that nearly all of those guys would support Rudy against Hillary.. Not so here at FR
