...is pro-life and pro-traditional family, that is, not in favor of homosexual activity. Not "in favor". What's that mean?
Where's he stand on adultery?
Do we start putting camera's in people's bedrooms?
What a strange statement.

Can we trust you? Because your post is similar to things what would be found on DU.

I can’t figure out why this guy is not running away with it by now.

Don't believe the crap you read in the MSM. FRed has been campaigning for about a month and is second to Rudy in national polls, second to Mitt in Iowa and leads in South Carolina. He is running away with it!

“. . .institution of marriage and traditional famlies. . . That once again is what moralists want to hear, have to hear from a candidate. Making that positive testimony, Thompson wipes out any question as to his position on practicing homosexual activity.”
That’s not exactly what the statement says. It refers only to marriage. I believe this generalized interpretation greatly distorts Fred’s actual position on homosexuality, which seems to be that it’s not the federal governments business.

Do you really think that what citizens do in their bedrooms is the business of a central government?

What a strange statement.
And other unreasonable people could counter your hyperbolic argument by taking the other extreme: "So you want to mandate the practice of sodomy?"
Perhaps Mr. Thompson merely doesn't want to enshrine this particularly harmful behavior as a special protected class, or as a human right, or allow for Federal funds to go to its advocacy.

What a brilliant strategy! We’ll just tell anyone that questions the veracity of Republican candidates to STFU! That should work like a charm. I can see how Fred’s campaign will take off with supporters like you!
By the way, If you don’t like what I’m saying, STFU! :^)

Get off your high horse. You sound like one of the DUmmies. If all you have to add to the conversation is a DUesque comment like “Can we trust any Republicans?”, then yes, you SHOULD STFU.

Perhaps Mr. Thompson merely doesn't want to enshrine this particularly harmful behavior as a special protected class, or as a human right, or allow for Federal funds to go to its advocacy. I'm pretty sure that most sex between consenting adults is already a "right". Including gay and most other unmarried sexual activity.
In any case another poster clarified that the wording wasn't Mr. Thompson's to begin with so this is all pretty irrelevant.

You're most welcome. If you want to know what Fred has actually said on any issue, just check out his website at
Fred08.com , and click the links for the Issues and Newsroom.
I'd rather know what a candidate actually said rather than what some journalist says he said.

I'd rather know what a candidate actually said rather than what some journalist says he said. That's an admirable virtue. But it requires research.
Something few people are willing to do these days.
