all other schools in this nation are reviewed and overseen...

All other public schools, you mean. Private schools can teach whatever they choose to teach, provided they meet the minimum licensing requirements for private schools. The article does not state whether this particular school meets those requirements, but fails to address the topic one way or the other.

Civic responsibility, respect for other cultures and for the basic rights of all humankind, self discipline, self esteem, critical thinking skills....Once past the required PBUH stuff, this sounds like any other high end school.

WOW, hearings on ALL hate material distributed by Saudi to mosques in the US on October 25th? ONE DAY?? The flipping Judiciary Committee (headed by Darlin Arlen) spent months feeding the hysteria - I mean INVESTIGATING wiretapping. This is nothing but BS from a master.

Private schools can teach whatever they choose to teach,

sorry, but you are wrong....and I am extremely familiar with private schools. All education facilities, in this nation, have oversight by the local, state, feds. Private schools are not exempt, yet there is some exemptions for private verses public, though the exemptions are not extreme. This school is an extremist school and this school does not want oversight, but by law, this school will be overseen or closed.

sorry, but you are wrong...

Well, that's entirely possible. It wouldn't be the first time.

If they're resistant to existing oversight provisions, they are liable to the penalties provided by those laws.

>> This is another witch hunt that will damage our relations with Saudi Arabia. <<

Do you have any idea what is being taught in these schools? There was an article at FreedomHouse.org that detailed what is being taught. This school (and all Saudi financed schools) need to be shutdown. If you’re interested, also take a look at the the Palestinians are teaching their kids.

The Saudis are NOT our friends.

So they’ll just go ahead and homeschool. It won’t change the outcome of what our own negligence has spawned.
