October 18, 2007 Reid: Democrats Will Continue Fight To Cover Millions Of America's Poorest Children
Washington, DCSenate Majority Leader Harry Reid made the following statement today after the House failed to override President Bushs veto of the Childrens Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2007:
Each Republican who voted to uphold President Bushs heartless veto should be embarrassed that he chose to stand in the way of improving the lives of millions of Americas poorest children. While we appreciate those who voted to override his veto, there unfortunately remain too many who are all too willing to rubberstamp President Bushs shameful policies and succumb to his misinformation campaign.
CHIP is a critical program that the vast majority of the American people rightly support. As long as this President denies American children the health care they need when they get sick, Democrats will continue to fight to do right by those who need our help the most. As we move forward, I share the commitment of my partners in this compromise that we must not abandon any of the uninsured children we would have covered with the bipartisan legislation already passed by Congress.
If Reid and the Democrats would just agree to fight the millions that want us all dead.....
Hey Harry,
Stick it where the sun doesn’t shine ahole.
Pinky could help lots of “poor kids” by giving them the profits of his shady land deals. Put your money where your goofy mouth is Pinky.
Burn in Hell.
Reid: Democrats Will Continue Fight To Cover Millions Of America’s Children With An Abortion. Think that pretty well sums it up.
Translation: Democrats will continue to rob the Middle Class to buy votes from its parasitic constituency.
True and those that live will be put on birth control by age 11.
The "poorest" are already covered you friiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiggin bozo!
Harry, you POS, it’s not “Democrats” paying for millions of poor children, it’s the taxpayers!!
TRANSLATION: We Democrats can't get away with lying any longer so we pretend Bush is lying about what we proposed because we can't possibly tell the truth. Damn stupid voters aren't buying our "evil Republican" lies like they used to. I blame talk radio and FReepers!!!
The Democrats are always “fighting” for this and “fighting” for that. They fight anything except our enemies.
OOOOhhh, puhleeze, Dingy Harry! You RATS just wanted the votes. And now you don’t have them.
How long will this “Republicans don’t care about the poor children” thing work?
The Democrats are not being honest about this program and far too many people are just hearing these soundbites and buying it with no knowledge of what this expansion was trying to do!
It’s frustrating.
You know, it’s just not as easy to try to pander to the middle class.
Harry, you lost. Again. Check out your NV approval ratings, you’re DOA next time you’re up as well.
Reid: “Democrats Will Continue Fight To Cover Millions Of America’s Poorest Children.”
Interpretation: “Democrats Will Continue To Attempt To Buy Votes By Offering Give Away Programs To Those Who Don’t Really Need It.”
Don’t ever expect honesty out of Democrats and RINOs. I guess we will just have to grin and bear it.
The right conclusion happened, and we have to be glad that what we have left in the House stood their ground.
The RATs will keep trying, we just have to keep perservering.
They are wrong on this one, what they were trying to do would have hurt the poor people, they say they care about, more than anyone else. The poor old ignorant Democrat voters just don’t know a favor happened for them today.
