I suspect what you are saying is that if one does not believe in the Nicene Creed they are a heretic and therefore can not be supported for president.
***Since I didn’t write anything about a Nicene Creed, I’m inclined to not bother with it.

In the first place, I doubt if you could explain the Nicene Creed.
***I doubt it as well.

I doubt if you are aware of the theological complexities of that Creed.
***I agree. Nor am I interested in theological complexity.

And in the second place, you are missing what America is all about. America exists because people of various persuasions, but of good will, find common ground and work together to achieve common goals.
***Sounds good to me. The common ground thing can be important when you consider the Deity of Christ.

Your approach on this would lead not only to the dissolution of the Republican Party, but of the Nation itself.
***Fascinating. That is an amazing example of the slippery slope fallacy.

With that approach, Lieberman should be eliminated from political leadership, and Jefferson should never have been president. Jefferson was a deist, that is, among other things, he believed in the principles Christ taught, but didn’t believe in the divinity of Christ. It is wonder the Republic survived him.
