I’m not one to talk or be a hard-a$$ - did my share of “raising hell” when I grew up (nothing on that scale) but suspect (no, I KNOW) that if I had been properly dressed down at certain points my life would have had a lot less “pain” in the long run.
Write letters to the editor of all the local and close by newspapers about the setup. And that’s what it was, a setup.
Also contact your state AG, “victims” office. The law enforcement officials in your case acted on in bad faith, and should be held accountable.
