The glass monument honoring Argentinian guerilla Ernesto Guevara was not well received by the area's communities, to whom [Che] represented a figure who was totally foreign to its history and values. And once again the main point is proven, Commies are STUPID.
Some on this board have asked why the Venezuelan people have not revolted. The reason is that they are used to bad and corrupt governments. They will sit up and take notice if things get really bad economically but other then that they are somewhat like a battered spouse. As long as things dont get too bad then "this too shall pass."
One of the four things you do not do however is tamper with their sense of pride and history. When Allende ordered that the Chilean National Anthem be replaced by the Cuban one it was only a matter of time before he was on the ash heap of history.
Chavez seems to be playing the same silly game. May it end the same way.
