Transcript: Harry Reid Brazenly Tries to Take Credit for Auction

With 23 minutes left, Harry Reid's letter to Rush Limbaugh lambasting his "phony soldiers" comments, signed by 41 Democratic senators, is up to $2,100,100 on eBay. Rush put up the letter for auction about a week ago. Not entirely sure of the vagaries of eBay rules, this may or may not be a legit bid.
But on his radio show just moments ago, Rush said it's legit and cited comments from Harry Reid on the Senate floor this morning urging more bids, since all proceeds, which Rush will match, will go to the The Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation, a registered charity which provides financial assistance to the children of fallen Marines and federal law enforcement officers.
Not that Reid is suddenly apologetic about his letter. He said he still disagreed about Rush's comments, and that, given time, he could have gotten more senators to sign the letter, but that the cause was a good one. "What could be a more worthwhile cause?" said Reid. "This is more than $2 million, this is going to really help."
Said Rush: "Do you not see what's happening here? This is a clever move to take credit for this [fundraising effort] ... [Reid] is trying to horn in and act like he's apart of all this."
As he should, Rush is declaring victory.
UPDATE: Auction closed. Noted philanthropist Betty Casey is now the proud owner of the Harry Reid letter, at $2,100,100.00. Rush will match that amount, bringing the total donation to the The Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation to $4,200,200.00.
Demand that they resign. They are guttless buttwipes.

All of the tuition provided by this auction will educate those young minds as to how great a fool Mr. Reid is, and with any luck, how magnificent America can be when it isn’t run by liberals.

Rush and all of his listenrs stuck it to dirty harry and dirty harry ran up the WHITE FLAG. I’d ask dirty harry how it feels to be a loser but then again...he’s always been a loser so it isn’t anything new for him.

Democrats and Harry Ried in particular have no honor. He thinks he’s made a pretty clever move here, but Ried has instead proven himself to be one major dufus. He hasn’t a clue that he has been revealed to be incapable of understanding what is going on around him. He really thinks folks will buy into the idea this was partially his idea.
Wow, being anti-American is bad enough, but this level of stupidity isn’t going to do those who hate the U.S. any good. He’s even too stupid to be helpful to them.
