In California??? Of course California is overwhelmingly Leftist, Marxist, anti-American, Decadence, and Democrat--but for Rudy to poll 37% against Hillary's 57% in California in an indicator of a Rudy tsunami in the rest of the nation!!!

But just wait, The Rudy Swarm will be along shortly to try and strong-arm everyone into agreeing with the illogical and unsubstantiated claim that only Rudy can win!

I’m suprised.

I thought the little RINO could at least get 40%

ONLY a 20 point spread! LOL! It will probably be bigger than that if Rudy ends up being the nominee. I have a feeling that CA Republicans have an up close and personal idea about the kind of President Rudy would be after watching what his twin RINO Ah-nold has done.

This is why many of us can vote third party and know it’s not “a vote for Hillary” like the critics say. Hillary is going to win California no matter who the sane people vote for. Since the best we can hope for is making a “statement” I think it would do more good to have all the conservatives in California vote for the Constitution Party candidate or some other third party conservative candidate and not just roll over and “Lose with Rudy” (The California Republican 2008 theme)

What is the record for the least number of states and fewest electoral votes won by a Republican?

Whatever it is, I'd bet good money on Rudy beating either record if he gets the nomination.

He doesn't have a blue-state strategy. He has a black-and-blue strategy.

Rudy’s polling 7 points WORSE than Bush actually did in 2004. And this is before the MSM has even started knocking him around.

This guy’s a train wreck just waiting to happen.

LMAO!

I just did some checking. It seems that McGovern got 37.5% of the vote, Goldwater got 38.5%, Mondale got 40.6, Herbert Hoover got 39.7% in 1932! To find a disaster of this magnitude, you need to look at the 36.5% that Alf Landon got in 1936.

Waste of time and money trying to get CA.

Unless maybe Thompson can pull off much better polling numbers.

Which I doubt.

Rudy is a joke as a Republican candidate. The only ones who don’t realize this are those in the media who are wedded to the idea that Rudy = Democrat victory.

No Republican will ever win Kalipornia.

There are too many

1) Homosexuals

2) Illegals

3) Illegal supporters

4) Lower income minorities

5) Holyweird types

6) General left-wing wackos

Kalipornia has joined Taxachusetts, the People’s Republic of New Jersey, and the People’s Republic of Illinois as non-American parts of America.

And if Fred gets more than that 37%, I’ll buy you dinner at your favorite podunk TN barbecue slophouse.

An older poll but what’s interesting about the newer ones is that McCain outperforms everybody by significant margins in Ohio, Kansas and Kentucky.

For Giuliani to get 37% against Hillary!'s 57% at this stage of the game --- well, considering it's _California_, that isn't so bad at all.

Of course, I don't think Rudy can win there, myself. Nor can he win his home state of New York. Both those places are "tipped" so far to the left that in all likelihood, they will never "vote red" again. (Mr. Swarzennegger was an anomoly, having been elected because of his personality rather than his party affiliation).

I don't think anyone could reasonably consider California to be "in play" for _any_ Republican any more on a national level (Mr. Reagan is dead and buried). But if Giuliani can make the 'rats spend money there, all the better.

BTW, how do Thompson or Romney stack up in head-to-head matches against Hillary! in the golden state, so far? In all honesty, would it even matter?

This proves that the 'Rooty Can Put The Blue States In Play' meme is utter bullsh*t.

Add to that the latest Poll showing him now LOSING NJ to Hillary, and losing big - which thus far he's always led, indicates a 50 state sweep for the beast if Rooty gets the nomination.

So this mutt better go to his doctor and magically discover he's sick again so he can drop out. Because if he doesn't, Rooty will do nationally to the GOP what that %&*%ing convicted felon and ex-gov, George Ryan, did to the IL GOP ---- completely destroy it.

I am no Rudy supporter, but these numbers would probably be close to the same regardless of the names involved.
